I had to watch the video along with reading the assembly document due to 2D vs 3D. Set up your Ras Pi first, get your servos aligned. If you align while assembling make sure the camera is connected or it won't boot the software.
I have built more than a dozen kits in the last year. This one has the most accurate instructions (almost dead on) and the software worked perfectly though i did have a little trouble getting the right CV file. Trial and error got me there.
I would recommend this to youngsters who want to start using and programming a Raspberry Pi as it is very accurate and easy to follow. I used a RPI 4, it worked first time and every time.

The robot came with all the parts. It wasn't easy putting it together, but using a detailed guide that could be found on the Adeept website I was able to do it in about 4 hours. The cable management is a nightmare and one of the servos could have had a bit longer cable. The assembled robot works, the prebuilt software is nothing extra, but it works and demonstrates basic concepts of working with the robot programmatically. All in all, I'm satisfied.

Well for starters, my son and I have been building the spider over the last couple of weeks. Why so long, different issues mostly related to chores around the house. However we finally sat down and started to put it together. First thing we noticed is that the screws are not labeled correctly and they aren’t packaged in a way that you would easily identify them. They are packed in even groups but that’s not how you will put them together. The protective plastic on the frame is adequate but annoying to take off. Might want to put an advisory to wear plastic gloves on to keep from having fingerprints all over every piece. But aside from these inconveniences the adeept spider is fun to build and work with.

It took half day for assembly and 1.5 day to learn Arduino Uno basic and finally I run the robot car. it seems should be adjusted more.

This is an advanced kit for assembling and running a legged robot. It takes quite a while to put together, and needs very good mechanical, electrical, and programming skills. High school or college level.

Heute habe ich endlich den RaspClaw Hexapod bekommen.... Fast wie Weihnachten.... Für mich ist es der Einstieg in das erweiterte Programmieren in C und Python. Daher ist es für mich eine Art Selbstexperiment und Lernstudie.

Easy-ish to put together, wiring is a nightmare (same on most hexapods), camera ribbon is.... iffy at best (flat ribbon for the Rpi cam is just not meant to be used like this) overall I am happy with T.E.D. and it is a fun project/toy. other than length.
